Year 9/10 Boys State Table Tennis Team

A big congratulations to the four students who represented Sirius College in the Year 9/10 Boys State Table Tennis Tournament on Friday the 29th of November. The team earned the right to compete in states after winning the Northern Metro Regional tournament earlier in term four.

On the day our boys were unlucky not to progress to the finals after losing in tight contests throughout the day. Considering all the students representing Sirius College were in Year 9 facing older competitors, it was a great effort to compete as well as they did.

There are nearly 400 schools which compete in this competition, so to be placed in the top eight speaks volumes of the team’s accomplishment.

The members of the team are:

Tarik Ayvaz(9B), Mekaal Khan(9C), Ozgur Hasimoglu(9C) and Aarish Chaudhry(9B)

Well done boys!
